Happy New Year!
The Vintage Wineworx capped off an extremely successful 2008 on a high having received the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western Australia Wine Award for the Best Winemaking Facility.
2009 is now upon us and we again look forward to continuing this success – early indications are this will prove to be another good season in Western Australia.
The Wineworx facility is continuing to grow and we are expecting an increased fruit intake this season.
We also may welcome aboard some new clients in 2009 which we are confident will add to our success.
After a well deserved Christmas break, a full complement of staff are now busily preparing vintage equipment and bottling is underway to accommodate the 2009 season. We welcome Darren Criddle to our talented team – Darren has worked in the industry for five plus years and brings a wealth of experience to the winery.
From all of us at The Vintage Wineworx we wish you a Happy New Year and look forward to a successful 2009 vintage.
If you require any information please feel free to contact myself or Sandra Cluning for assistance.

Vintage Wineworx Wins Top Award for New Facility
Investing in an expansion of their facility has paid off for Great Southern contract winery, The Vintage Wineworx, with the winery being awarded the “Best Winemaking Facility” at the Annual Chamber of Commerce and Industry Western Australia Wine Industry Awards 2008.
These prestigious awards are presented to businesses and individuals reflecting true excellence within the Western Australian wine industry.
Senior Winemaker and Winery Manager, Greg Jones accepted the award on behalf of The Vintage Wineworx at the Gala presentation dinner held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre on November 21.
“This is yet another fantastic result for the winery after an extremely successful year on the wine show circuit and this award reinforces the vision and belief we share with all our clients.”
“To be judged Western Australia’s best winemaking facility is a tribute to our professional team and our premium clients,” Mr Jones said.
The highly competitive “Best Winemaking Facility” category is open to all Western Australian winemaking facilities. Entrants are judged in all key areas of production including business plans, product standards and commitment to environmental sustainability and staff development.
The track record of the winery and its commitment to occupational health and safety and risk management, are also assessed.
The Vintage Wineworx is located in the Great Southern Wine Region of Western Australian and is one of Western Australia’s most innovative contract wineries. It offers a complete range of professional services, beginning in the vineyard, through to winemaking, bottling, transportation and logistics.
The wineries major shareholder, Xabregas, is dedicated to investing in the development of the winery, by mixing new worldwide technology with traditional winemaking methods.
The contract winery completed a $1 million expansion of its production facilities in late 2007, which included a 650m² barrel room, logistics centre and state-of-the-art Italian made ‘Fimer’ bottling line,
The Vintage Wineworx has become one of only two wineries in Western Australia to purchase the world renowned ‘Ganimede Fermenters’, which has a reputation for producing more naturally aromatic wines with a greater softness and a richer more intense colour.
The Vintage Wineworx is proud to count some of WA’s leading brands among its clients including Xabregas Wines, Across the Lake, Bellarmine Wines, Jingalla Wines, Montgomery’s Hill, Hidden River Estate and Rosenthal Wines.
The winery has won numerous awards for its clients, including Trophies for Best Wine, Best Shiraz and Best Chardonnay at the Qantas Western Australian Wine Show in 2003, 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Rosenthal Wines collected Best Red Wine of Show, Best Wine of Show and Best Shiraz of Show at the RMS Bird Cameron Timber Towns Regional Wine Show 2008.
Xabregas Wines recently collected Gold and was named a finalist in the Jimmy Watson Memorial Trophy for best one-year-old dry red at the Royal Melbourne Wine Show 2008. It also received five medals at the Decanter World Wine Awards and International Wine Challenge 2008 in London.
